For the safety of consumers, these products are required to be tested and certified before it launch or sell in the Indian Market. The users should also ensure the mark of CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme), BIS on the storage battery, they are using. The manufacturers and importers of Storage Battery should apply for Compulsory Registration to the Bureau of Indian Standards.
