Government Exempts Wireless Chargers, Bluetooth from Licensing Norms
WPC licence is really a big headache for all Importers in INDIA these days, Well a good news came from The Department of Telecommunications that it has exempted wireless devices that operate in low-frequency range like Bluetooth, wireless chargers, internet of things products, medical devices etc from licensing requirement.
It means no licence shall be required by any person to establish, maintain, work, progress or deal in any Wireless equipment for the purpose of uses of very low power radio frequency devices or equipment for inductive applications in the 302 to 435 kHz, 855 to 1050 kHz and 1.89 to 2.31MHz frequency bands on non-interference, non-protection and shared (non-exclusive) basis.
The move is seen as the government's effort to push ease of doing business for the adoption of new technologies like IOT, Machine to Machine Communications.
Mr Yogesh K.T. Head of a leading company for technical certification and "Aleph INDIA" said, Its a very good initiative for Indian Importers as there was huge traffic for BIS Certification, ISI Mark, BIS Licence and WPC Licence these days. This circular will make the importing easy and boost the economy as well.
