This certification is often referred to as the WPC License or Equipment Type Approval (ETA), this certification guarantees that laptops can work on the approved frequency bands including 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. It sets boundaries with regard to output power, frequency band and electromagnetic compatibility so as to avoid interference with other wireless systems. The approval is done by submitting the RF test reports as well as comprehensive technical documentation.
