Bis Certification for Maleic Anhydride Technical
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has established a standard, IS 5149:2020, for Maleic Anhydride. It is necessary to obtain BIS certification for Maleic Anhydride in compliance with IS 5149:2020 to participate in its sale, import or export in the Indian market. Maleic anhydride is used in the production of unsaturated polyester resin, coatings, pharmaceutics, agricultural products, surfactants, and plastic additives. It is characterized by its colorless or white solid form with a pungent odor and is produced industrially on a large scale primarily for applications in coatings and polymers.
