IS 603 (Part 5):2023 Bonded Abrasive Products- Dimensions Part 5 Grinding Wheels for Surface Grinding/Face Grinding Bureau of Indian Standards has issued IS 603 (Part 5):2023, which covers the dimensions of bonded abrasive grinding wheels for surface and face grinding for use when working on surfaces and edges of materials. Use these wheels for precision grinding on surface, cylindrical, and tool and cutter grinders. The shape, fixture size, bore diameter and labeling requirements are standardized to ensure regularity, safety and compatibility of fitting from one tool to another. It is mandatory for manufacturers to obtain BIS certification to sell these products in India.
