BIS Certification for Blending Units for Manufacture of Fortified Rice (IS 17854:2022)

BIS recently issued a BIS licence for “Equipment for the manufacture of fortified rice” in accordance with IS 17854: 2022. BIS has made it mandatory to obtain BIS certification for equipment used to manufacture fortified rice.

Our client, Agro Power Gasification Plant Private Limited, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, 221010, has received a BIS license from BIS for “Equipment for manufacture of fortified rice” in accordance with IS 17854: 2022.

Equipment for the manufacture of fortified rice is covered by IS 17854: 2022. This standard prescribes the requirements of blending units and its types used for the manufacture of fortified rice. The manufacturer must ensure that the products adhere to Indian standards to obtain a BIS certificate for Blending Units for the manufacture of fortified rice.

All Manufacturers must obtain a BIS license from the Bureau of Indian Standards to use a standard ISI mark.
