Ministry of Steel and Steel Products has proposed the mandatory BIS Certification for Indented Wire for Prestressed Concrete as per IS 6003: 2010. It is mandatory to get BIS Certification for all the manufacturers of Indented Wire for Prestressed Concrete in India under the Products Certification Scheme and for foreign manufacturers it is mandatory to get BIS Certification under the Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme (FMCS). Why ISI mark is important ? ISI Mark is needed for orderly commercial growth and maintaining quality in industrial production. BIS is supposed to check the veracity of the reports within a month and grant a licence for usage of the ISI Mark on the product. How can i get ISI mark on products ? The ISI mark is granted to a product after it has been thoroughly tested by any BIS approved laboratory. In this process applicant is required to fill to the application form and submit it with documents required to the Branch Office under whose dominion the manufacturing unit is located.
