Bis Standards For Aluminium Alloy Tubes for Irrigation Purposes IS 7092 (Part 1):1992 for Aluminium Alloy Tubes for irrigation, covering welded tubes, has been set by The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This standard covers the requirement of fabricated or straight drawn welded aluminium alloy tubes used for water supply/distribution system connected with agriculture. It is essential to comply with IS 7092 (Part 1) to ensure sustained perfor­mance and durability under various field situations. All Indian manufacturers and/or welders of above tubes must get BIS Standard before they sell or market these products in India. The ISI Mark is also mandatory for the PIPES quality and safety standard of Indian irrigation infrastructure.
